Conversations as Christians

 Philippians 4:8

8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I don't understand how some "Christians" think it is ok to act
one way when they are home, and another
when they are with friends.

My husband spent the week with other guys
while working out of town.  Many of these guys
call them selves Christians.
My husband made the comment to me, that
he hates spending time with guys, because they
think it is ok to talk with a filthy mouth, joke about
filthy worldly entertainment and such. (you know comments like what strip club has the best girls, what a great experience it was.... all these men are married!) I for one would not be to happy if I found out that my husband went to a strip club or even was talking about one!

He spent most of his time out doors and away from
his cabin mates due to all there filthy conversations.
My husband is not a "holier than thou" kind of person,
but his does take the Bible to heart when it comes
to how we are to live our lives.

Our Christian walk should not be a walk that we can take only
when we are home with our family.
We should be of the same character either at home or out on the job... Where ever we are... We should be
shining the light of Jesus to the world.

My mind can not comprehend how so many people take
their walk with God so lightly.

Phil. 4 :8
Tells us that we should think on things that
are good report, things that bring glory and
honor to the Father!
How can we proclaim Christ when we are talking about the newest strip club, etc...
As Christians, these things should disgust us!

It is time that We as Children of God open our
eyes and see that sin is sin
and make up your mind to follow
Christ no matter what others
around us are doing...

It is time to stop playing games!

(my no means am I trying to make who ever reads this to feel bad, If you have a difficulty with this area of your life... I pray that you find the strength though the
Word of God to be an over-comer!)

I did not mean of this post to become a rant...
oh well...
until next time..
Shelby
